Who I am
For starters, my name is Natalie. I am that friend that everyone went to back in the day for advice because I kept their secrets and held them accountable when they needed me to. As we got older, I realized their problems were deeper than we had the ability to express. So I pursued higher education and eventually went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College in the middle of a pandemic! College taught me a lot but more importantly, it allowed me the space to experiment with different self-care activities while in a high-stress environment. I went hiking for the first time, had my breath stolen by a waterfall, grew plants, meditated to every frequency you can think of, journaled, and developed a true love and awareness of myself. Thus sparking the creation that is Black Girl Existing.
What I do
I help black women rediscover peace. As Black women, we put guards up at the start of every day to protect ourselves and it can be hard to let them down so we can process. My role is to help you develop a self-care plan to process, unload, and reset at the end of the day and build your self-care toolkit so you can take back control when you're feeling stressed. Waking up should feel like an opportunity for a good day to happen. It's time for you to think about what makes you feel better than "okay".
