Reading of the week

This week's reading asks if you are able to be a student to loss.

Essential Questions to keep in mind:

What does your emotional foundation look like?

Are you aligned with the version of yourself that can better handle inconvenience or hard times?

Do you have a supportive community or a clear understanding of the resources available to you?

Recommendation:

Start building your self-care toolbank.

Think of your self-care toolbank as an actual bank that pays you interest or an investment account, if you will. Deposit positive coping strategies, routines, time with yourself, personal development, and accountability. Then regularly visit your bank take out your positive coping strategies when you're feeling down. Withdraw your attention from people who can't respect your boundaries. Deposit more time with yourself when you feel the funds are getting low. The point is to acquire these tools as you navigate through life, learn as you go. When you have a really good day write down the things that made that day good. When you have a really bad day write down the things you think you could've worked on or the self-care activities that would've helped.

In conclusion, stop slacking on your care, and continue to work towards your goals. Proper preparation prevents poor performance.
